This policy explains how the JI CB app ("the app") handles your information. JI CB is a free, independent app made by an individual developer. It is not an official product of, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by, the U.S. Air Force, the Department of Defense or any government agency.
JI CB does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no servers. Everything you enter stays on your device.
The app works with the weights, distances and item descriptions you type in to calculate center of balance. All calculations run on your device. This information is never sent to the developer or to anyone else.
The app is designed not to store tag, plate or serial numbers. Saved items are identified only by the description you give them.
The app saves the following locally on your device so you can pick up where you left off:
You can delete saved items in the app, or remove all app data by clearing the app's storage in your device settings or uninstalling the app.
If you have Android backup turned on, Android may include the app's locally stored data in your device backup to your Google account. That backup is handled by Google under your Google account settings and Google's privacy policy. The developer has no access to it. You can turn backup off in your device settings.
The app can create an image of your results. It is only shared when you tap Share and choose where to send it using your device's share menu. What happens to the image after that depends on the app or person you send it to.
The app does not need an internet connection and does not request internet access. Reference links in the How-To section open in your own web browser, which is governed by that browser's and website's own privacy policies.
The app is free. If an optional tip feature is offered in the future, payments will be processed entirely by Google Play. The developer will not receive or store your payment details.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new effective date.
